Graveside services for Mary Bell Luker, 92, of Brownfield will be at 10am, Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Steve Carter officiating. Services are under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8pm Friday at the Funeral Home.
Mary passed away Monday, January 3, 2011 in Stephenville. She was born March 24, 1918 in Kiowa, Oklahoma. She attended Wellman schools. She married Taft Murphy on September 12, 1934 in O'Donnell. They moved to Brownfield in 1940. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1972. She then married Raleigh "Squirt" Luker on January 9, 1975 in Brownfield. He preceded her in death on October 23, 2008. Mary is also preceded in death by 7 siblings. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Mary is survived by 2 sons, Kenneth Murphy and wife Maurine of Horseshoe Bay and Ronald Luker and wife Margaret of Brownfield; 3 daughters, Linda Warren and husband Gale of Stephenville, Mary Alice Nance and husband Don of Graham and Leigh Szydloski and husband Collier of Lone Star; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; a sister, Lois Brown of Lubbock; a brother, Billy Jones of Brownfield.
