Mary Olivia Competio, a dearly loved wife, mother, and grandma, Momo, and unofficial mom and grandmother to more students in the Wellman school system than she could have realized, passed from this life and into her eternal rest on August 24, 2020, at the age of 77 years and 17 days. Together with Frank, she raised 8 children and family get-togethers where the highlight of every season and holiday, with every corner of the house filled with the love and laughter that radiated from within. She was an avid supporter of each and every one of her kids, grandkids, and later on great-grandkids and could oftentimes be found wherever they were competing. Her dedication didn’t end there, thus earning her the unofficial titles of Mom and Grandma at the Wellman school and her own corner in the Wildcat gym to watch the games.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Benny Hilburn; and one son in law, Joe Cavazos.
