Nicanor Torrez, Jr.

Services for Nicanor Torrez, Jr., 67, of Brownfield will be at 10am, Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Gerald Leatham officiating. Services will be under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Nick passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011 in a Lubbock Hospital. He was born November 8, 1944 in Levelland to Nicanor and Rita Torrez. Nick married Elia DeLaCruz on December 2, 1969 in Brownfield. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Ortencia Garza and Bertha Riojas.

Nick is survived by his wife Elia of Brownfield; sons, Jerry Luis Torrez and Nicanor Santos Torrez and wife Juliana; a daughter, Debra Torrez; grandsons Sergio Elias Torrez and Demetris Javier Cesar Torrez; a granddaughter, Alexia Renee Valdez; great grandson, Zackeriah Leija; sisters, Rita Riojas and husband Geno, Santos Martinez and Seferino, Ninfa Martinez and husband Isidro, Oralia Coronado, Estella Torrez and Yolanda Torrez; brothers, Alfredo Torrez and Christopher Torrez.
