Patsy Hamm passed away peacefully in Brownfield on May 24, 2023, at the age of 89. Patsy's life began on October 17, 1933, when she was born to Willie and Lois Hyman. She grew up with her brother Bill and eventually married the love of her life, Jack Hamm. Patsy and Jack went on to have three children: Deborah, Gerry, and Tim.
Those who knew Patsy remember her as a sweet mama who was always happy and one-of-a-kind. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
As a mother and homemaker, Patsy's family was the center of her world. In addition to raising her own children, she delighted in spending time with her ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Patsy is survived by her daughter Deborah Baker (and husband Stan), sons Gerry Hamm (and wife Debbie) and Tim Hamm (and wife Jackie), all of whom cherish fond memories of their mother. Her grandchildren Chance and Deidra Baker, Trevor and Kayla Baker, Duncan Hamm, Justin and Brandy Hamm, Jason and Mindy Hamm, Eathan and Lisa Hamm, Logan and Kenna Hamm, Jennifer and Daniel Bush, Josh and Kay Lee Simmons along with nineteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren also mourn the loss of their grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Hamm; her parents Willie Hyman and Lois "Jo Bob" Hyman; brother Bill Hyman; and granddaughter Melissa Jean Baker.
Patsy's friends describe her as someone who would do anything for anyone in need without hesitation.
Viewing will be held at Brownfield Funeral Home on Thursday, May 25, 2023, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. Graveside Service will be held at Terry County Memorial Cemetery on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 10:00 am.
