Memorial Graveside Service for Paul Dean Woodard will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Chris Seaton officiating.
Paul Dean Woodard, a beloved member of the Brownfield community, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2023, at the age of 68. Born on November 10, 1955, in Brownfield, Texas, Paul was the loving son of Tommie Wesley Woodard and Julia May Seaton Woodard.
Paul's early years were filled with academic achievements as he excelled in his studies. He graduated from Wellman High School in 1974 and went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from Texas Tech in 1978 in Agricultural Sciences. Paul loved farming the family farm in Terry County. He spent many years as an agricultural consultant. He later found his passion in the transportation industry, becoming a dedicated truck driver for Phillip Gore Trucking, where he spent several fulfilling years on the road with his faithful dog, Pepper, by his side.
A man of unwavering faith, Paul was a devoted Christian who enjoyed singing gospel songs. Paul had a unique ability to connect with children, particularly his significant other's grandchildren, whom he adored with all his heart.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jimmy Wesley Woodard; sister, Dixie Lena McWilliams; and great-nephew, Henry Wesley “Wes” Woodard.
Paul is survived by his significant other of 20 years, Teresia DePoyster; daughter, Sarah Christina Woodard Felts; and a brother, Micky Dale Woodard, and wife, Kathy.
