Preston Foster Phillips

A Graveside Service will be held for Preston Foster Phillips, 54, of Brownfield at 11 am, Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Springlake Cemetery in Springlake, TX, officiated by Rev. Chris Seaton. Viewing will be from 4 pm - 5pm on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Brownfield Funeral Home. 

Preston was born in Muleshoe, TX on July 10, 1968 to Albert James "AJ" and Janis Elizabeth (Jones) Phillips. Due to his father's work, Preston grew up all over Texas and attended school in Midland and Hereford before graduating from Brownfield High School. Preston passed away on March 18, 2023 in Brownfield.

Preston was a loving and caring son with a good heart. He enjoyed being in nature admiring God's creation and liked to take walks in the woods around his family's cabin in Ruidoso. He also loved animals and had a special place in his heart for dogs. Gidget, his fox terrier and Beau and Jr., his two Chinese Pugs, were like family to him.

Preston was preceded in death by his father, Albert James "AJ" Phillips. He is survived by his mother, Jan Phillips of Brownfield; sister, Paige Townsley (Bill) of New Braunfels; niece, Jenna Townsley of Austin; nephew, Blake Townsley of New Braunfels; numerous extended family members and special friends, Joyce Hicks of Lubbock and Ronnie and Sharon Simmons of Brownfield.
