R. H. Clements

Services for R. H. Clements, 86, of Brownfield will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 21, 2008 at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rick Monger and Glen Martin officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

R. H. passed away Friday, January 18, 2008 in Brownfield. He was born Nov. 18, 1921 in Woodson, TX. to Albert and Cynthia Clements. He moved with his family to Terry County in 1924 at the age of 3. R. H. was one of ten children in his family. He graduated from Brownfield High School in 1941. He was a WWII Navy Vet-eran serving from 1942-1948. He returned to his family and farm-ing, remaining in farming until the present time. R. H. was making preparations for his 2008 crop. He was a member of the American Legion. R. H. was on the Co-Op Station board for many years, a past director of Terry County Farm Bureau and served on the FHA Board. He was a member of Hester Street Church of Christ. R. H. is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and 5 sisters. He went to work in the master’s vineyard in 1940 and worked until the lord called him home.

He is survived by his brothers, Tom and his wife Gert of La Mirada, Calif. and William and his wife Beth of Levelland; Several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly; countless friends and dear neighbors.

The family will receive friends 2-4 pm Sunday at the Funeral Home.
