Rebecca "Becky" Diane Waters Smith

Memorial services for Rebecca “Becky” Diane Smith, 60, of Brownfield, will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at First Baptist Church in Brownfield, with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at her parents’ home in Brownfield from 5-7 pm.

Becky went to be with her heavenly father on October 30, 2011, in Brownfield. Becky was born January 28, 1951, to Lewis M. and Sue Waters in Lubbock, Texas. She graduated from Brownfield High School in 1970. She graduated with a B.A. Degree in Education from Texas Tech University. She was a member and secretary of Abundant Harvest Church. Becky is preceded in death by her son, U.S. Marine Sgt. Brian Smith.

Becky is survived by her parents; a daughter, Amber Wood and husband Namaan of Durham, North Carolina; her brother, Glenn Waters and wife Teresa of Brownfield; 2 nephews and a niece; her uncle, D.A. Willson and wife Mary of Lubbock; several cousins.

The family suggests memorials to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
