Richard "Rick" Hudson passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 in Lubbock. He was born in Battle Creek, Michigan to Gerald and Helen Hudson. After attending school in Crystal Springs, Florida Rick went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps. He retired from his occupation as a flight simulator technician after over 25 years.
Passionate about fishing, Rick took pride in helping with Take a Kid Fishing in Del Rio. He loved to Fish, participating in many bass tournaments at Lake Amistad. Rick was a great man and a good friend who was generous to a fault, with a heart of gold. At the forefront of everything was his great sense of humor. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Helen Hudson and siblings, Jackie Kinsella, Tom Hudson, Diane Waters, and Terry Hudson.
Rick is survived by his daughter, Robin Self and husband, Joseph, of Midland, 4 grandchildren, Raschelle Jordan, Rheanna Brackens and husband, Israel, Faith Self, Joseph Self; sister, Dorothy Chutter and husband George; and long time close friend, Carol Palmer and her son, Sean Palmer and wife, Diane, and their son Garrett. Rick was loved and will be greatly missed.
