Roma Ione Miller

Funeral Services for Roma Ione Miller, of Brownfield, will be held at 10 am on Monday, October 9, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Brownfield, with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 6 pm on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Brownfield Funeral Home.

Roma passed away on October 2, 2023, at the age of 87. She was born on October 15, 1935, in Tokio, Texas.

Roma's journey in life led her down various paths, each filled with love and devotion. During her high school years, she found joy and camaraderie as a soda jerk, brightening the days of those who visited the local soda fountain. After marrying the love of her life, Roma selflessly worked at the bank to support her husband's college education, showcasing her unwavering commitment to family.

Roma's compassionate nature and dedication to helping others led her to pursue a career in nursing, where she touched the lives of countless individuals. Throughout her years as a school nurse, Roma wholeheartedly embraced her role, nurturing and caring for the well-being of children. Her warm smile, gentle touch, and calming presence brought comfort to countless students. Roma's genuine love for children and her dedication to their welfare have left an indelible mark on the hearts of those whose lives she touched.

Roma is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Ronald Max Miller; a son, Kelly Sam Miller; her parents, Barney and Pansy Farris; and 2 brothers, Calvin Farris and Gene Farris. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Carlee Miller of Weatherford, Texas.
