Services for Roy Carroll Mason, formerly of Brownfield will be at 2pm, Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Truman Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Roy passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011 in Lubbock. He was born March 16, 1938 in Brownfield to Jack Orien and Christine Ovella (Motley) Mason. He graduated from Brownfield High School. Roy married Mennie Stubblefield on December 5, 1989 in Lubbock, TX. Roy worked and retired with The Texas Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Church of Christ and the Evening Lions Club. Roy is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Theresa Mason.
Roy is survived by his wife Mennie of Lubbock; a grand daughter, Misty Funderbuck of Kosse; a great grandson, Chance Funderbuck of Kosse; a brother-in-law, Norman Ledbetter and wife Rhonda of Tahoka; and a step daughter-in-law, Faye Stubblefield of Groesbeck.
