Services for S. M. Hamilton, Jr., 82, of Brownfield will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2007 at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Clarence Branch officiating. Interment will follow in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Sam passed away Monday, December 24, 2007 in Odessa, TX. He was born August 8, 1925 in Hope, Arkansas to S. M. and Lydia Hamilton. He moved to Monahans in 1951. He married Lura Gene Ewell, November 3, 1953 in Lovington, NM. They moved to Brownfield in 1970. Sam worked for Ingram, Inc. in Monahans and Brownfield for over 23 years, retiring in 1988. He loved and enjoyed his wife, children, grandchildren and occasional fishing. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Andy Hamilton of Monahans and Danny Hamilton of Lakeside; a daughter, Retta Bolling of Baytown; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
