Sharon Kay Simmons

Memorial Service for Sharon Kay Simmons will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Brownfield Funeral Home, with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating.

Sharon was born on October 31, 1947, to D.M. and Dora Linville in Brownfield. She passed away on November 21, 2024, at the age of 77.

Sharon graduated from Brownfield High School in May of 1966, and she married the love of her life, Ronnie, in June of that same year. They were blessed to share 58 beautiful years together.

With her unmistakable bubbliness and never-ending words of wisdom, Sharon touched the lives of many during her many years as a bank teller at Brownfield State Bank. Her commitment to her work and her dedication to providing exceptional service were well-known among her colleagues and customers alike.

Sharon's impact extended far beyond the walls of the bank, as she also effortlessly played the roles of family taxi driver and devoted caregiver, always putting the needs of her loved ones before her own. Known affectionately as "Grandmama" to her grandchildren, Sharon cherished the time spent with her family, and her daughter and grandchildren will forever remember her warmth and love.

Another great passion in Sharon's life was cruising the open seas with her husband, Ronnie. Together, they embarked on over 40 cruises, creating countless memories and moments of pure joy throughout the years.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, D.M and Dora Linvillle; a daughter, Deborah Bishop; a grandson, Zach Braziel; a brother, Harold Linville; and 3 sisters, Aubrey Price, Vondell "Dale" Lindley, and Collene Brown. She is survived by her husband, Ronnie; a daughter, Stacy Culp and husband, Dennis; 3 granddaughters, Ashley Bishop, Brandee Tells and husband Nathan, and Kailey Word; grandson, Solomon Culp; 5 great-grandchildren, Bella, Hayden, Emma, Liam, and Greyson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
