Stephan Dale Dorsett, 66, a beloved brother and member of the Brownfield community, passed away on July 23, 2024 He was born on February 23, 1958 to James and Iva Dorsett in Levelland on February 23, 1958.
Stephan was known for his dedication to his education and remarkable academic achievements; he never missed a day of school in 12 years and received an award for his outstanding performance. His commitment and hard work were truly admirable.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Stephan had a passion for adventure and the great outdoors. He found joy in riding his Harley Davidson, feeling the rush of the wind against his face as he explored new horizons. His love for camping in the beautiful landscapes of Colorado, especially with his cousins, brought him closer to nature and created lasting memories that will be cherished by all who knew him. He was known for his dedicated career in the oil field industry and his time at Birdsong Peanut, where his hard work and passion shone through every project he undertook Stephan was preceded in death by his parents, James Cleveland and Iva Joyce Dorsett and his brother, Bruce Dorsett.
Stephan is survived by his brother, James Mark Dorsett; niece, Darcy Stockman and husband Jack; great nephews, Jaxon James Stockman, Maddox Van Stockman; niece, Jacey Soliz and husband Chano and great nephews, and Lucas James.
A memorial Service will be held at 10am on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Gail Faries officiating.
