Memorial service for Stewart Lee Martin will be held at 11am Monday, August 15, 2016 at Brownfield Church of Christ with Bo Shero officiating.
Visitation will be held from 4pm to 5:30pm on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Lee went home to be with the Lord early Thursday morning, August 11, 2016, in his home with family at his side, after a lengthy illness. Lee was born to Reg and Elouise “Bitsy” Martin on June 16, 1953. He graduated from Brownfield High School in 1972, and then attended South Plains College. He married Paula Kay King, the love of his life, on July 24, 1976, they lived and farmed in the Tokio area, for 40 years. Lee farmed with his brother Reggie for 38 years. Lee was a member of the Brownfield Church of Christ, where he was deacon of the building and grounds. Lee was a member of the Terry County Young Farmers and a leader in the 4-H program.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reg and Elouise “Bitsy” Martin.
He is survived by his wife Paula, of 40 years. Two sons, Greg and wife Kyley of Plains, and Ross and wife Krista of Houston. Three grandchildren, Riley and Kynlee Martin of Plains and Samuel Martin of Houston. One brother, Reggie Martin of Brownfield; two sisters, Ethel and husband Sonny Hart of Aspermont, Ann Heathcoat of Brownfield. Mother-in-law, Ruth King of Meadow, and numerous nieces and nephews.
