Terry Joe Brock

Memorial Service for Terry Joe Brock will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Brownfield Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating.

Terry was born to Bobby and Mary Brock on December 17, 1952, in Brownfield, Texas. He peacefully passed away on July 18, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. 

Terry attended school in Brownfield and worked on drilling rigs in Albany. He then worked for a few years at gas plants in Eliasville and Desdemona. He also worked as a mechanic in Abilene and Tye and finally settled in Lubbock later in life to be closer to family. 

Terry was known for his playful nature, giving almost everyone a hard time. He loved country music; his vehicles and animals were his babies. He also enjoyed watching car racing and football. Terry was a great man who loved with all his heart—but he was the pickiest eater there was to exist.

Terry is survived by companion of 34 years, Betty White. He also leaves behind four daughters, Shawnie Broadstreet and husband Chris, Misty Elmore and husband Junior, Charity Harrell and husband James and Candace Cather and husband Mark; one stepdaughter, Christy Corley; one son, Bobby Brock. He is survived by two sisters, Debby Cox and husband Gary and Bettie Todd; one brother, Joe Brock and wife Cheryl. Terry leaves behind three nieces and one nephew. He is survived by 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother-in-law Jimmy Todd, and two stepsons, Dennis and Tim Austin.
