Victor Najera

Services for Victor Najera, 87, of Meadow will be held at 1pm on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Meadow Church of Christ with Alfredo Penieda officiating. Online condolences may be left at www.brownfieldfuneralhome.com.

Visitation will be held at Brownfield Funeral Home on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 6-8pm.

Victor was born on September 27, 1930 in Lubbock, Texas to Juan and Antonia Moreno Najera. Victor lived in Terry County almost all his life. He was a member of Meadow Church of Christ and taught his kids to have God in their lives. He worked in the agricultural industry and was employed at Meadow Coop Gin for 39 years. Victor married the love of his life, Consuelo Guerrero, on August 21, 1949 in Las Cruces, NM. His family is grateful for the incredible legacy of love, honesty, integrity and hard work that he modeled before them.
Victor is preceded in death by his wife, Consuelo and son, Victor Najera Jr. Victor is survived by his 2 sons, Johnny Najera and wife Lupe and Paul Najera and wife Maria; daughter-in-law, Rosa Najera; 6 daughters, Mary Darling and husband Neal, Rachel Perez, Elsa Altamirano and husband Roy, Rosie Garza and husband Eddie, Avelina Flores and husband Raul, and Balvina Cavazos and husband Richard. Victor had 23 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
