Graveside services for Wanda Parrish, 80, of Tokio will be held at 10:30am, Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Plains Cemetery with Rev. Patrick Hamilton officiating under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Wanda will be in state on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 9am to 8pm. The family will receive visitors from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the Funeral Home.
Wanda passed away Monday, March 28, 2011 in Denver City. She was born on March 3, 1931 in Brownfield to Jim and Ethel Langford. She attended Brownfield schools. She married Harold Parrish in Brownfield. He preceded her in death March 9, 2010. Wanda enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Plains Baptist Church.
She is survived by her 2 sons, Jerry Parrish and wife Jan and Don Parrish and wife Suann all of Plains; 4 grandchildren, Kirk Parrish, Lisa Bown and husband Chad, Blake Parrish and Troy Parrish; 5 great-grandchildren, Cody Parrish, Mini Parrish, Jacklynn Parrish, Audrey Bown and Brooks Bown; a sister, Linnie Loyd of Amarillo.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials the First Baptist Church of Plains kitchen fund or ones favorite charity.
