William Russell Elliott, 58, of Slaton, passed away on December 31, 2024, and his family will be memorializing his life privately. Arrangements are under the care of Brownfield Funeral Home.
William was born in Slaton on October 21, 1966, to Earnest and June (Tucker) Elliott. He grew up in Slaton and attended school there.
Raised in a family where hard work was valued, William learned the bricklaying trade from his father and devoted much of his life to the construction industry. In addition to his work in construction, William contributed his talents to the Slatonite newspaper and did some work for Pastor Terry Reeves, enriching the lives of many through his efforts.
A true outdoorsman at heart, William found joy in working with horses and was never happier than when he was outside, embracing nature. Despite the challenges he faced, William remained a source of support for those around him, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.
William was married for 24 wonderful years to Deborah (Sanders) Elliott, the love of his life. Although they divorced a few years ago, their bond remained strong, and Deborah devoted his final days to caring for him with love and compassion.
William is preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and June Elliott, and his sister, Denna.
