Willie Aldon Nieman

It is with much sadness that we say goodbye to Willie Aldon Nieman on October 20, 2019, at the age of 83. He was born November 16, 1935 to Willie Gus and Olga Frances Nieman. Like his dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather before him, Willie farmed primarily in Lynn County. He was honored as Farmer of the Year in Lynn County on more than one occasion. He served on the New Home School Board and the New Home Co-op Gin Board.

Willie leaves behind his devoted wife Carolyn, a daughter Terri Kennedy, and son Rodd Nieman, and stepson Eddie Heatley and wife Jody. Always one to especially favor his grandchildren, Reed Nieman, Audra Nieman, Jacque Kennedy Jacobs and husband Matt, Jocelyn Kennedy, great-granddaughter Brooklyn Kennedy will miss him. He also leaves a brother Clarence Nieman and wife Darlene, and many cousins, nieces and nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Honest as the day is long was Willie Nieman. He had a life-long faith in God and never wavered from his devotion to God and family. When he wasn’t farming, he loved to go fishing with his brother, cousins, children, and especially the grandchildren, He had a subtle sense of humor and love of music. He was consistently a devoted and loving son, husband, father, and brother.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Norvin Nieman, son Rand Nieman and ex-wife Winona Nieman Pirtle mother of his children.

The family would like to particularly thank his caregiver and doctors.

There will be a private memorial service held at a later date.
