Services for Wilton Lee Brassfield, Sr, 61, of Brownfield will be at 10am, Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Carter and Otis Boring officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30pm at Denver City Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
There will be a family visitation on Tuesday at the Brownfield Funeral Home from 6-8pm.
Wilton was born on February 6, 1951 in Kizer, Arkansas to Wilton Joyce and Mildred (Keck) Brassfield. He passed away September 9, 2012 in Brownfield. He attended Denver City schools. Wilton married Lavina Bernice Dolloff on July 11, 1969 in Denver City. He worked for Well-Co for 21 years before his retirement in 1999. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Jo Evelyn Baldwin and Betty Joyce Bunch; a brother, Donald Ray Brassfield. Wilton was a quiet, gentle, loving and caring family man with a big heart. He will truly be missed.
Wilton is survived by his wife Lavina of Brownfield; a son, Lee Brassfield of Brownfield; 2 daughters, Melissa Edgar and husband Carl of Brownfield and Stephanie Boring and husband Jonathan of Clarksville, TN; two brothers, Bobby Wayne Bunch and wife Lisa of San Angelo and Ernest Brassfield of Marktree, AR; 5 sisters, Barbara Gayle Young of Brownfield, Ann Hartman and husband Jerry of Plains, Jean Hall of Hobbs, NM, twins Teresa Moore Hall and husband Gary of Ashdown, AR and Lisa Bowen of Texarkana; 6 grandchildren; MaKayla Kinney, Trinity Mitchell, Raiden Brassfield, Dylan and Jacey Boring and Grant Browning; many nieces and nephews.
