Private Memorial Services for Winford H. Shewmake, 86, of Brownfield will be held at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Ruidoso, NM.
Winford passed away Friday, November 20, 2009 in Lubbock. He was born January 11, 1923 in Marietta, OK. to Richard D. and Milmer Snyder Shewmake, Sr. He is preceded in death 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Winford is survived by his companion, Jean Doss of Brownfield; a son, Randy Shewmake and wife Cindy of Hatch, NM; 3 daughters, Patricia Wenzel and husband Jerry of Brownfield, Donna McGuire of Lubbock and Betty Stephens of Lubbock; 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
