Yolanda Ann Sanchez

March 9, 1978 — June 22, 2022

Yolanda "Yoli" Ann Sanchez, 44, passed away at her home in Seminole on Wednesday, June 22, 2022.

Yolanda was born, March 9, 1978, in Brownfield to Susan Melendez of Brownfield and Joe A. Sanchez of Arlington. She grew up primarily in Brownfield, although she spent some time in Lubbock and Dallas.

Yolanda was a very loving person who was always willing to help someone in need. Yoli was creative and enjoyed arts and crafts. She also loved her dogs, especially "Bonez," and spoiled them more than her children. Bonez was her protector.

Her family will dearly miss her smile, her sense of humor and her wise advice. Yoli was a fighter and battled her cancer for nearly 10 years. She was preceded in death by her brother, Sirildo "Eto" Melendez.

She is survived by the love of her life, Israel Duran of Seminole; her mother, Susan Melendez of Brownfield; her father, Joe A. Sanchez (Noemi) of Arlington; her grandfather, Domingo Cruz of Brownfield; 3 daughters, Vanessa Sanchez of Brownfield, Marcelia Sanchez (Jesus) of Lubbock, and Alexis Garcia of Lubbock; a son, Alejandro Munoz of Brownfield; a brother, Johnny Sanchez of Brownfield; 4 sisters, Mary Angel Sanchez of Oklahoma, Jessica Sanchez, Amber Clark, and Brittany Clark all of Arlington; 6 grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Lubbock Hospice for their tender care and especially, Israel Duran, the love of her life, for taking such good care of her.
